Early Wednesday (Apr. 16) morning Miley Cyrus announced on Twitter that she was forced to cancel another concert after being rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, Apr. 15.

"The hospital is saying I won't be released today therefore I'm not going 2 make it 2 St. Louis. I'm so sorry but somethings are outta my control," she tweeted.

The 21-year-old singer, who is currently on her "Bangerz" tour, was taken to the hospital after having a severe allergic reaction to medication. According to TMZ, there's a lot more to the story about why Cyrus was rushed to the hospital.

A source told the site that the real reason the former Disney star was hospitalized was because of her dog Floyd's death. Cyrus has not handled the death well and sources connected to her told TMZ that the singer wore herself down by partying, drinking and allegedly taking drugs to cope.

The source also said that the "Adore You" songstress had an emotional meltdown over losing Floyd. Reportedly Cyrus has been having crying fits and has been unable to sleep.

"She's been off the rails since this happened," the source told the site.

Earlier this month, Floyd was killed by a coyote while Cyrus was away on tour. Following the death, her mom bought her a new puppy, named Moonie, but Cyrus said she wasn't ready to love another dog yet. Eventually, Cyrus announced on Twitter that she parting ways with the new pup.

Cyrus has been tweeting nonstop about Floyd's death telling her fans that she was having a difficult time coming to terms with it.

"Im trying 2 tweet about it rather than screaming and waking up the entire hotel! I wanna f**king screaaam. Im so f***ing angry at the world," she tweeted at one point.

"I wanna sleep but all I can do is cry. I never wanna go home to a house where Floyd isn't running & playing. How do I get thru this," another somber tweet read.

"I wanna go home. But I don't wanna go home to a home with no Floyd. 5 am. Can't sleep. Playing Barclays tomorrow. Guide me rainbow Floyd," yet another Twitter message read.
