Six students were allegedly encouraged by a Florida teacher to attack a classmate for speaking back to her, UK MailOnline reported, prompting the school to fire her from the job last week.

The St. Lucie County school board fired Dru Dehart from her position at Port St. Lucie's Northport K-8 school on Thursday night, WPTV reported.

"Dehart was accused last year of encouraging a March 2013 incident caught on surveillance video that showed six students attacking classmate Radravious Williams, WPBF reported last year," UK MailOnline reported.

"The attack took place after Williams allegedly told Dehart that he 'wished he could curse out teachers someday.'"

In response, six boys were allegedly told by Dehart that they should "teach him a lesson," the channel reported.

The assault was described in detail by Latasha Darrisaw, the boy's mother, to WPBF last year.

"They picked him up, carried him, holding him by the neck, took him down to her classroom and forcibly made him apologize to her," Darrisaw said.

"And her remarks to him were, 'I've got my eighth-grade boys on you; you're not so tough now.'"

Barring her from any further student contact, Dehart was removed from the classroom last spring and shifted to a different position, WPTV reported at the time.

In fall 2013, she was eventually suspended without getting a paycheck, according to UK MailOnline.

After Dehart was fired from the job, Darrisaw told CBS 12 that Radravious has trust issues.

"Through the whole process, and even when I got the news there's no congratulations on either side, he's suffering and my son is still suffering."

Dehart has not yet apologized to Radravious for encouraging the attack, she said.

"As a person and as a parent you would like some kind of apology, but I guess we will get that whenever she's ready," Darrisaw said.
