Google announced Thursday that the Glass will be available during a special one-day event. This is to give those who want to be a part of the Explorer program, but haven't found a way in yet.

After The Verge reported some details about the special one-day event, Google's Glass team seemed pressured to push through with its one-day sales promotion.

During the event, which will be held on April 15, residents of the United States can avail a pair of the Google Glass along with their favorite shade or frame for $1,500 plus tax.

"Next Tuesday, April 15th at 9 a.m. EDT, we're opening up some spots in the Glass Explorer Program," the Google stated in a blog post in Google+. "Any adult in the U.S. can become an Explorer by visiting our site and purchasing Glass for $1,500 + tax -- and it now comes with your favorite shade or frame, thanks to feedback from our current Explorers."

However, not everyone can get it. Only a limited number of participant can bring home the wearable device.

"The number of spots available is limited, so mark your calendar if you want to get in," added Google in a post.

According to eWeek, those who are interested to avail a pair of Google Glass can visit the special Website to get further instructions on how to join. They can also get a reminder from there.

"We're excited to meet our new Explorers, and we can't wait to hear your thoughts about Glass," Google said to cap the post.

Google Glass is a wearable device that looks like an eyeglass. It has an optical head-mounted high-definition display that acts as a screen, and a built-in camera that can capture 5-megapixel images and record clips at 720p. Its audio is delivered to users through their bones via bone-conduction transducers. It has been utilized for filming surgical operations, fashion shows and basketball games, and for getting directions while driving.
