There have been reports that Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana are separating after being married for a little over a year. However, a source close to the couple told Entertainment Tonight that the rumors are not true and Jackson and Mana are doing just fine.

"The rumors about their marriage are a lie," the source said. "They are very happy and very much together. In fact, the couple has recently purchased an even larger home in New York."

The two confirmed their 2012 marriage to ET last year saying that they opted for a small, private ceremony. Earlier this month, Jackson put her three-bedroom New York City apartment on the market which sparked the separation rumors.

The bogus story first appeared in the National Enquirer. Source reportedly the magazine that "Feedback" singer realized she made a mistake and wanted out of the marriage. The source also claimed that a "bitter divorce battle over [Mana's] billion-dollar fortune could be about to explode."

"Janet is ready to throw in the towel," a source said. "She's realized she made a colossal mistake in marrying Wissam. Janet gave up her career to be a dutiful wife - and she even took up Islam for him."

"Janet feels like a prisoner," the source added. "Wissam doesn't want her working or making public appearances. She's confided to a few close friends and [her mother] Katherine that she's preparing to leave him. And, she's been calling friends at all hours, crying and saying how miserable she is."

According to the gossip magazine, the two did have a prenup. Jackson reportedly wanted a guaranteed $500 million if they divorced before two years, but Mana said he wouldn't pay a dime unless the marriage lasted five years.

Sources told the Enquirer that she is now "trying to challenge the prenup and demands a large sum of money."
