Russian President Vladimir Putin criticizes U.S. President Joe Biden's Russia attack on NATO claim. He said that what the American leader recently accused Moscow of is complete nonsense.

Before Putin shared his statement, Joe Biden warned NATO countries that the Russian government could start attacking them if it ever wins the war against Ukraine.

POTUS said this as he was trying to convince Republican Party figures to support the needed military and financial aid for Ukraine. Now, Putin has finally broken his silence regarding Bidern's accusation.

According to The Express UK's latest report, Vladimir Putin said that Joe Biden's recent warning about possible Russian attacks against NATO countries is complete nonsense.

The Russian ruler said this during an interview with the Rossiya state television on Sunday, Dec. 17.

"It is complete nonsense - and I think President Biden understands that," said the Russian leader via The New York Post.

"Russia has no reason, no interest - no geopolitical interest, neither economic, political nor military - to fight with NATO countries," added Vladimir Putin.

The Russian ruler also explained that Joe Biden only said those things against Moscow to justify his "mistaken policy" on Russia.

Aside from this, Putin was also asked if Russia and the West would find common ground despite the widening divisions because of the Russia-Ukraine war and other geopolitical problems.

"They will have to find common ground because they will have to reckon with us," replied the Russian president.

During the interview, Vladimir Putin mentioned Finland's decision to join NATO. He said that all the disputes Russia had with the EU nation, such as territorial issues, were solved in the mid-20th century.

However, since Finland decided to complete its NATO membership, Putin said there would be problems between Russia and Finland.

The Russian ruler confirmed they would start creating the Leningrad military district and concentrate some of their military units in the area.

As of writing, Russia and Finland are also having issues on their own. In November, the EU announced that it had decided to close its 1,340-kilometer border with Russia.

The Finnish government said that this is needed since Russia is allegedly forcing asylum seekers, who are mostly from the Middle East and Africa, toward its land.

But, the conflict between Finland and Russia began because the Finnish government decided to join NATO in April.

Experts argued that Finland joined NATO mainly because of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, which altered the country's security environment.
