According to Business Insider's latest report, some NATO-trained Ukrainian soldiers shared that Russian soldiers are more powerful.

Reporter Igor Kossov of The Kyiv Independent-a Ukraine-based media outlet-interviewed Ukrainian soldiers from the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade; a brigade of the Ukranian  Ground Forces.

The Ukrainian army subdivision's members were civilians. When they joined the brigade, they only received three weeks of NATO basic training in Germany.

After that, they were deployed in Ukraine to fight Russian troops. Some of the recruits interviewed by Kossov said that the three-week NATO basic training is not enough for them to be prepared for the harsh reality of war in Ukraine.

After more than five weeks of war, Russia appears to have abandoned its goal of encircling the Ukrainian capital. However, Ukraine expects a renewed fight in the east and south.

Volodymyr, an infantry sergeant of the 32nd brigade, said that the news was not showing the reality of war in Ukraine.

"Everything is not like what you read in daily briefings and on the news," he said.

The recruit even asked what's the point of being heroic in the ongoing war if you will end up losing limbs or even dead.

When it comes to resources, Russia is believed to have the upper hand, especially since its soldiers are better equipped compared to Ukrainian troops.

As of writing, Ukraine is putting almost all its resources in the south of the country; leaving troops in the northern sector with insufficient vehicles, ammunition, and other war equipment.

Ukrainian officials said that Russia is taking advantage of this situation. Recently, Kyiv authorities said that Putin amassed more than 100,000 Russian soldiers at the Kupiansk axis on the northern side of the country.

Other Ways Russia Overwhelm Ukraine

Aside from force, Russia is also fighting Ukraine using its hacking tactics. CNN Politics reported that Kremlin-supported military hackers are targeting Ukraine's mobile devices.

They are doing this to steam sensitive information about the battlefield plans of the Ukrainian military.
