A six pack of Bud Light sits on a shelf for sale at a convenience store, July 26, 2018 in New York City. Anheuser-Busch InBev, the brewer behind Budweiser and Bud Light, said on Thursday that U.S. revenues fell 3.1% in the second quarter. American consumers continue to shift away from domestic lagers and toward crafts beers and wine and spirits.

As per the New York Post, Billy Busch, a prominent figure within the beer dynasty, expressed his discontent with the controversial partnership between Bud Light and the trans influencer Mulvaney.

Busch, an heir to the Anheuser-Busch brewing fortune, said his ancestors would be "rolling in their graves" over the company's recent partnership with transgender model Mulvaney. He recently spoke with "TMZ Live" to promote his new book, "Family Reins: The Extraordinary Rise and Epic Fall of an American Dynasty." Besides speaking about his book, he dabbled in the controversial partnership with the famous beer maker.

The Anheuser-Busch heir told TMZ's Harvey Levin that his "ancestors would have rolled over in their graves." He says, "They believed that transgender, gays, that sort of thing was all a very personal issue."

The former brewing firm owner also pointed out that his ancestors loved America since it is a free country that lets its population do what they want. However, Busch says the trans influencer "was never meant to be on a beer can and never meant to be pushed in people's faces."

Busch also continued to stress that Bud Light drinkers are mostly the "blue-collar worker who goes and works hard every single day." He argued that these folks would not want that messaging "pushed down their throat."

However, TMZ's Levin told Busch that the giant beer maker had been sponsoring pride events even before the collab with the trans influencer. Yet, Anheuser-Busch says that "I just [do not] think the audience that drinks beer is into transgenders."

The Bud Light-Mulvaney partnership has been met with mixed reactions. Some people have praised the company for its inclusivity, while others have criticized it for being "woke."

However, the latter aggressively expressed disgust with the recent collab with the trans influencer. The New York Post notes in its report that Anheuser-Busch felt the effects of the widespread boycott campaign by conservatives and right-wingers. The brewing firm's revenue in the United States slumped by roughly 10 percent. It is equivalent to about $400 million worth of sales.

On top of that, The Daily Mail reports that Bud Light lost its crown as the best-selling beer brand in the US. Its close rival Modelo Especial dethroned it following the intense backlash over the Mulvaney partnership.
