Woman Dead, 4 Hurt in Car Crash in LA Suburb
(Photo: APU GOMES/AFP via Getty Images) A woman was pronounced dead after a two-car crash in LA’s Van Nuys neighborhood.

A 21-year-old woman was killed and four other people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl, in a two-car crash in Los Angeles's Van Nuys neighborhood Sunday morning (July 16).

The crash happened at around 03:00 Pacific Time (10:00 UTC) on Saticoy Street near the 405 Freeway, ABC Los Angeles affiliate KABC reported.

Details about what led up to the collection are yet unknown, but four other people were injured and taken to hospital in unknown conditions.

The woman who was killed was not immediately identified.

After the crash, wires were reported to be down in the area, prompting LAWDP crews to assist at the scene.

The crash happened two weeks after a similar incident in the Van Nuys community where a 6-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene and five others were hurt.
