Virgin Galactic announced Thursday (July 13) they would be launching their second commercial flight in a window that opens in August after a successful first flight last June.

Details on the crew, pilots, and the flight manifest for the mission dubbed as "Galactic 02" set to launch on a window opening on August 10 will be released later, the company said.

The Richard Branson-founded company previously launched its very first commercial flight called "Galactic 01" which sent three paying Italian passengers aboard the VSS Unity to the edge of space, as determined by NASA and US standards (50 miles/80 km).

Virgin Galactic earlier stated it has already booked a backlog of some 800 customers, charging most from $250,000 to $450,000 per seat. They also envision building a large enough fleet to accommodate more than one flight a day in the future.

Additionally, Virgin Galactic's shares (SPCE) moved up 2.58% in premarket trading. Short interest on the space tourism stock is at 22.2% of the total float.
