Disney's 'Hocus Pocus 3' is now officially in the works, according to Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production President.
The upcoming fantasy comedy follows the successful release of 'Hocus Pocus 2' on Disney Plus last year or in 2022, to be exact.

In an interview with The New York Times, Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production President Sean Bailey confirmed the early development of the upcoming 'Hocus Pocus' film.
Comicbook.com says the Halloween favorite 'Hocus Pocus' took 30 years before it took off as a cult classic. The original Hocus Pocus was released in 1993, featuring a trio of mischievous witches who accidentally resurrected on Halloween night.
The 1993 fantasy movie starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the witch trio. Their infectious chemistry and hilarious performances garnered a loyal fan base and turned the film into a Halloween cult classic.
After several years, Disney finally debuted its sequel in 2022. Hocus Pocus 2 was released on Disney Plus in 2022 and was also a hit with viewers.
As per The Daily Mail Online, the first week of the sequel amassed a whopping 2.7 billion viewing minutes on the Disney streamer.
The Disney exec Bailey, responsible for the media conglomerate's live-action department, confirmed that another 'Hocus Pocus' movie is on its way. With the successful sequel release, the revelation is not much surprising at all. Fans of the cult classic have been eagerly awaiting news of a third installment in the beloved franchise.
Bailey was straightforward with his confirmation. He says, "Yes, Hocus Pocus 3 is happening." But aside from that, the Disney exec abstained from diving into more details.
It is worth noting that Bailey is in charge of other live-action movies that Disney recently debuted. It is the all-new 'The Little Mermaid.' He was also responsible for films like 'Hocus Pocus 2' and 'Peter Pan & Wendy.'

What to Expect From New 'Hocus Pocus' Movie
According to Deadline, the 'Hocus Pocus' star, Midler, one of the witch trio, raised the idea of a third installment while promoting the highly-anticipated sequel on Disney Plus last year.
Midler says, "If there were a third one, of course, I'd sign on." However, the 'Hocus Pocus' star admits that she needs to be more knowledgeable about how the third movie's story will unfold.
She says, "I can't imagine what the story would be, but I love Winifred, Sarah, Mary, and our relationship."
As of writing, it is still being determined if Midler, Parker, and Najimy are making their comeback.
