A missing Michigan boy was found unconscious on a neighbor's pool cover, which suggests that he drowned in a foot of still water when going over it. Last Saturday, March 25, in the Town of Orion in Michigan, a missing child alert involved a 5-year-old boy. The boy with special needs was able to get out of his home when the grandfather noticed that he was missing, reported Meaww.
Details from the Oakland County Sheriff's Department stated that the grandfather reported the young boy missing at 4 in the evening, noted WWJ Newsroom.
He told the police that the boy was at the house on Devon Street in Orion Township at 3:30 pm but later disappeared. Later upon checking, the back door of the house was not locked.
Search for Missing Michigan Boy Yields Tragedy
The police were told that he wore jeans with a sweatshirt to identify the missing 5-year-old boy. The search operation involved the Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team, K-9 units, Orion Township Fire Department personnel, and several deputies that participated, cited M Live.
Other details say that the police did a house-to-house search looking for him, even in the woods close to the area close to the boy's residence. Other places checked were a lake and swamp that was in the vicinity.
They did find the boy, but not in the best condition that could be hoped for. Authorities say the boy was lying on a cover over a pool with a foot of water over it. A ladder was close to the pool, which the boy might have used to go over. Seeing the unconscious victim, the rescue applied CPR while speeding to the hospital, but he was not saved. The cause of death is unknown until the coroner posts the autopsy result after last Sunday.
Missing Arianna Fitts Could Be Alive
The disappearance of Arianna Fitts, who was never found after an initial search and continues today, has no leads, even a dead boy. A native of California, Arianna disappeared in April 2016 when her mom's corpse was found.
If alive, she would be 9 years old by now, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children posted a photo of her older self with a $250,000 reward for finding her. A statement from March 17 done by the non-profit organization says the investigators and NCMEC consider the missing girl still alive.
They asked the public to reference how she looks now, and any information be forwarded to the San Francisco Police and upon posting the FB post got many reactions from users. One commented that maybe someone could identify her and call the police, then return to her family. Others offered prayers that she'll be back home with family.
