LeBron James expressed support for his son, Bronny James, by dissing other players.

LeBron James tweeted his endorsement for his oldest kid, Bronny James by dissing other players, which drew the ire of basketball fans.

During Wednesday's six-game NBA schedule, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar made headlines online by stunning many people with the observation that his son Bronny James was much superior to several of the players he saw on League Pass, per Clutch Points.

"Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I've been watching on league pass today. Sh*t lightweight hilarious," LeBron James tweeted.

It was unclear, though, who or which players he is referring to.

Bronny James, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound point guard, presently plays for Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles, California. ESPN ranks him as the 28th-best high school senior prospect and gives him a four-star rating for the class of 2023, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Jonathan Givony of ESPN recently predicted he will be a top-10 selection and he has been steadily climbing the boards, per a report from CBS News.

Careless Statement From LeBron

LeBron James has been consistently expressing his desire to play alongside Bronny James in the NBA before he retires from professional basketball, but comments like these might backfire if Bronny suffers early on.

In fact, several online commenters were already quite critical of LeBron James for his statement.

Michael S. Kim (@Mike_kim714) expressed doubt about Bronny James' real skills.

"you know bronny isn't that good when @KingJames is starting the drafting campaign more than a yr in advance," he tweeted.

User Bobby (@BobbySolez) posted: "Bron out here starting the marketing campaign to get bronny in the league ASAP "

Meanwhile, Coco Loca (@iamcocoloca) compared LeBron James to Lavar Ball, who became infamous for outrageous remarks about his sons. "Looks like bron is going full @Lavarbigballer mode," the user commented.
