The Lakers decided not to allow LeBron James to play in Tuesday's game in Memphis due to LeBron James' right foot injury.

LA Lakers superstar LeBron James may be out for several weeks with a right foot ailment, an insider said on Monday.

More tests are needed to determine the full degree of LeBron James injury, said the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to The Associated Press. Neither LeBron James nor the Lakers have made any announcements regarding a lengthy court action absence, according to an NBA report.

LeBron James' right foot has been bothering him, which prompted the Lakers to decide not to let him play in Tuesday's game in Memphis. As of present reporting, there is no update on when will LeBron James recover.

Lakers overcame a 27-point hole thanks in large part to James' 37 minutes of action in Sunday's 111-108 victory at Dallas.

Even though he contributed to a Lakers victory, he was afterward seen limping about with an apparent injury, per The Sporting News.

During the third quarter, he grabbed at his ankle and stayed on the ground for a while, clearly pained. Yet, he didn't leave until the last buzzer since he knew the game was crucial to the Lakers' playoff chances.

LeBron James Shows His Injured Foot on Social Media

The LeBron James injury was documented on Monday night when he shared a photo to his Instagram account, according to Sports Illustrated.

Over his sock-covered foot, he scribbled, "Fkn sucks!" followed by a series of emoticons.

 

LeBron James has become the NBA's all-time best scorer this season, and his Lakers are in 12th place with an average of 29.5 points per game. He is also averaging 8.4 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game.

The Lakers, holding a 29-32 record, are one game behind the Pelicans for the last play-in place in the Western Conference.
