According to media reports, a Michigan daughter who reportedly burnt her father with chemicals last year is now facing murder charges when her father died from injuries.

Megan Joyce Imirowicz, 18, has been charged with the murder of her father, 64, who died last week as a result of the burns he received in the Oct. 1 incident. According to the Oakland Press, the adolescent had already been charged with assault with the intent to cause grave bodily harm but not murder.

Teen Accused of Burning Father with Chemicals, Facing Homicide Charges

Imirowicz was freed on bail, but she was brought back into prison and charged with homicide after her father died of his burns this month, according to WDIV-TV. The Oakland County Jail is now holding her.

Last October, Imirowicz allegedly made a deadly drain cleaner concoction and flung it at her father. Imirowicz's father was discovered with chemical burns on his head, body, and extremities by a neighbor. After that, he was transported to the hospital. According to police, lye powder was discovered on the couch where the father was discovered with burns.

The youngster had previously been charged with assault with intent to commit grievous bodily injury less than murder before her father's death. Imirowicz's court date is set for early April, and she is also charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, ABC News reported.

Teen Arrested for Allegedly Making Terrorism Threats at School

Meanwhile, a young state ward has been charged with making a threat involving a handgun at a Saginaw high school.

On the morning of Monday, March 14, Saginaw County District Judge David D. Hoffman arraigned Cody F. Lampley, 18, on one count of false report or threat of terrorism. A maximum penalty of 20 years in prison is possible if convicted on this offense.

Lampley, dressed in a black-and-white striped jumpsuit, appeared before Hoffman via closed-circuit television from the Saginaw County Jail. He didn't say anything during the hearing except to indicate he didn't have a phone number when the court asked for one.

On Lampley's behalf, defense counsel Patricia Slomski came and requested Hoffman to enter a not-guilty plea and submit his case to the Officer of Assigned Counsel. Slomski also requested a fair bail, claiming Lampley had no prior criminal history.

Lampley made his allegation following a fight with another student, according to prosecutors. They said that the criminal accusation does not name a specific victim. At 2:55 p.m., the teacher who overheard the comment submitted an email to the school's principal about the event. The principal called the cops at 7 pm.

Lampley was suspended, according to Saginaw Public Schools Superintendent Ramont Roberts, and officials sought to contact his legal guardians before turning the situation over to authorities.

Officers rushed to the teen's residence and took him into custody without incident. No guns were discovered in his possession. The teen is from Wayne County and has been residing at Holy Cross Children's Services as a state ward, at 1:30 p.m. Lampley is scheduled to appear for a preliminary examination on the 29th of March, as per MLive.
