Country-pop princess Taylor Swift has reportedly bought a home in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

According to TMZ and real estate blog, The Real Estalker, the 23-year-old singer paid around $17 million cash for the 5-acre mansion. Her new home is tucked away in a quiet area right off the shore line and is guaranteed to offer Swift plenty of privacy. She was spotted house hunting a couple weeks ago and TMZ reported the country star was given a tour of the Rhode Island mansion on April 15.

This is the singer's fourth house. She already owns a mini-mansion in Beverly Hills, a condo in downtown Nashville and another mini-mansion outside of Nashville where her parents supposedly live. In 2012, Swift bought a home in Hyannis Port, Mass near the Kennedy compound but sold it in November reportedly after her split with boyfriend Conor Kennedy.

In an interview with Vanity Fair Magazine Swift jokes about the rumors that she likes shacking up near love interests.

"People say that about me, that I apparently buy houses near every boy I like -- that's a thing that I apparently do."

Besides the Cape Code mansion, which she recently sold, Swift has reportedly bought houses or house hunted in areas close to the guys she dated at the time. She was seen house hunting in London around the time she dated One Direction signer Harry Styles, her Beverly Hills house is said to be close to where singer and ex-boyfriend John Mayer lives and her Nashville house is said to be close to where her and ex Jake Gyllenhaal liked to hang out.

In Hollywood, one of the biggest reasons celebrity couples split is because of distance and not being able to spend time together so maybe Swift purchasing homes next to her lovers is not such a bad idea.

There have not been any rumors as of yet about who Swift's next boyfriend will be but, the singer said in a new interview that she's trying to stay clear from famous hunks.
