Samsung, the Seoul-based tech giant is not only concentrating on the most awaited flagships Galaxy S8 and S8+ but also releasing the new firmware update to its other available flagships in the tech market. Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to Galaxy Core Prime and Galaxy J1 Mini smartphones, which is claimed to installing the March Security patch on the devices.

According to the Android Soul, the new firmware update arriving in the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini which was launched in March 2016, has a build number J105YDVU0AQC1. It is reported that the new firmware update brings the latest Android monthly security patch to smartphone alongside with regular bug fixes and system enhancements.

The new firmware update arriving at Samsung Galaxy Core Prime, which was launched in February 2015, has a build number G361HXXU0AQC1. It is reported that it installs the March security patch and optimizes device performance.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini and Galaxy Core Prime will receive the new firmware update via OTA. Users, who cannot wait for the notification to pop-up on the screen can manually check the update by heading towards Settings > About device > System updates. Once the update is received, users are clearly advised to ensure that the phone is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network before clicking the download button.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G sports a 4.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 800 pixels. It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.It also features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The device measures 131.30 x 68.40 x 8.80 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 132.00 grams and is powered by a 2,000mAh removable battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is a dual SIM Smartphone that accepts both micro-SIM cards. The phone is also equipped with connectivity option such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, FM, 3G, and 4G. Various sensors that are included in the phone are the proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and gyroscope.

Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini

Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini sports a 4.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 800 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core it comes with 768MB of RAM and  8GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front camera for selfies. The phone measures 121.60 x 63.10 x 10.80 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 120.00 grams and is powered by a 1500mAh removable battery.

The dual SIM Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini accepts both Micro-SIM and includes connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, and 3G. In addition, the device has compass magnetometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope sensors.
