The trailer for Fast and Furious 8 has been released and is getting waves of views ever since it came up on YouTube. Fast and Furious 8, aptly named The Fate of The Furious, is the 8th installment in The Fast and The Furious series, and consists of the old cast members minus Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013.

Among YouTube videos that get viral quickly, the trailer of Fate of the Furious is the fastest viewed video of all time on YouTube, stacking up 139 million views in a short span of 4 days ever since it was released on December 11.

The place for the fastest viewed video was held by Beauty and the Beast reboot, that stacked up 127 million views. The newest addition to the Fast and Furious film family has beaten the Beauty and the Beast by more than a couple of million views.

Fast and the Furious series has always dominated the box office revenues, and is currently a multi-billion dollar franchise, with the last movie having a revenue margin of more than $1.5 billion. Furious 7 crossed the billion dollar revenue mark just 12 days after its release.

The newest instalment follows a radically different plot and would see Dom being swayed into hands of crime, betraying his family.

With so much hype around the turn of events that the trailer shows, the new film would probably make the same margin of revenues, if not more. The 8th instalment is being directed by F. Gary Gray, who has previously directed films like Straight Outta Compton and The Negotiator.

The original cast is returning, consisting of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris. New faces like Charlize Theron, Oscar winner Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood also make an appearance in the film.
