"The Walking Dead" series is set to return from its midseason break. It won't be as hard as waiting for Season 7 to finally premiere following that big cliffhanger on the Season 6 finale.

The midseason finale has already promised some major events. So, when will Season 7 of "The Walking Dead" be aired for its second set of episodes?

Return Date for TWD

According to several reports, the show would return in February of 2017. But there has not been any official release date issued by AMC just yet. However, as the Season 7 midseason finale aired last December 11, it's always worth the talks as to when "The Walking Dead" will come back again.

If fans refer to Season 6, its first episode premiered on October 11, 2015, with the midseason premiering on February 14, 2016. It was just in time for Valentine's Day.

Since Season 7 premiered just two weeks right after Season 6, fans have already speculated that "The Walking Dead" will most likely stage a comeback with some new episodes on February 26, 2017. When Season 7 does return, though, there's only one thing that fans really hope the series will do.

Bringing Back The Old Rick

Rick would realize his limitations after Negan brutally killed Abraham and Glenn. So, it's understandable why he's attracted to Negan right now. On the other end, Alexandria needs a strong and emotional leader who can come up with a good plan to defeat the Saviors.

Hopefully, seeing Negan in his home during the midseason finale will light a fire on Rick. Fans demand the Rick who doesn't think twice about biting someone's neck in order to protect his children, not the Rick who easily submits to Negan.

Rick returning to his old self would absolutely be the perfect way to build suspense for "The Walking Dead" Season 7 official return in February.
