NBA trade rumors are about to dragged the Cleveland Cavaliers in the news again. After being in the rumor mills for past few months, the Cavs are once again in the hot seat of a rumored deal that was floated lately. It is said that Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert are part of this alleged deal with the Utah Jazz as their trade partner.

The Cavs are doing great at the start of the regular season. They are holding a 15-5 record and currently at the top of the Eastern Conference division. Many believe that they are back on their deadly form but their three straight losses to the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls last week seems to be disturbing.

The losses seem to be a wake-up call for them but some observer is saying that they still lack consistency and bench support that they have been looking for during the offseason. Rumors are now spreading that the Cavs are looking for a trade to have this problem solved. And it looks like the Utah Jazz is being linked to being their trade partner.

A proposed NBA trade deal is being suggested between the Cavaliers and Jazz that involves 5 players. Trade scenario is suggesting the following:

1. The Cleveland Cavalier will acquire Derrick Favors, Boris Diaw and Shelvin Mack from the Jazz;

2. The Utah Jazz will then get Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert from the Cavs.

Now, let's take a look at how this NBA trade will benefit both teams. The upside for the Cavs with this deal is that they will be able to inject a young blood on the power forward spot in Favors (25) as Kevin Love (28) and Channing Frye (33) are getting older plus an added support for Kyrie Irving in the point guard spot with Mack.

Though Diaw (34) will immediately replace Thompson (25) in the center spot, he's also aging and that could be the downside part of this trade for the Cavs. But skill and experience wise, there is no doubt that Diaw will bring a lot to the table for the Cavs being thru many playoff games with the Spurs.

On the other hand, the Jazz will get a reasonable return on this trade. Without a doubt, Thompson and Shumpert are solid players that could give immediate impact on the Jazz. Though they might be able to give a lot in offense but surely their defense are enough to make the Jazz competitive.

The trade will also work under the NBA trade rules and salary cap restriction making it a legal deal for both teams as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine.

There have been no confirmed talks between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Utah Jazz as of this moment. But this NBA trade is something to ponder about by both teams. Still, both teams have enough time to decide whether this deal is truly fair or not.
