Gisele Bündchen created some controversy online today after photos surfaced of the mom taking her one-year-old daughter for an ATV ride without a helmet, TMZ reports.

The 33-year-old Brazilian fashion model was photographed four-wheeling it in Costa Rica on the beach, clutching her daughter Vivian Lake to her chest. It is illegal to ride an ATV on public land in Costa Rica without a helmet, though Bündchen may have been riding on a private beach, and regardless of legality, various TMZ commenters criticized the model for the dangerous stunt, though others defended her.

This isn't the first time Bündchen has made headlines for her controversial parenting style and opinions. Back in 2010, she told Harper's Bazaar UK, ""Some people here (in the U.S.) think they don't have to breastfeed, and I think 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?' I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months."

The model also chose to give birth at home to both of her children at home in the family's bathtub, an experience that she claimed "wasn't painful, not even a little bit."
