No. 5: Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans

After winning four in a row, they are now starting to lose games again as they dropped their last two games. They just came from a humiliating defeat against Dallas Mavericks who is the worst team in the NBA on paper.

But we can't overlook the fact that Anthony Davis is a beast on the court. In week five of the NBA, he averages 31.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. He also shot 31-38 from the free-throw line.

No. 4: DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings

At 7-10 win-loss record, the Sacramento Kings are 11th in the Western Conference. But the Kings are showing some signs of improvement as he now won three of their last five games. The Kings are 2-1 in Week 5.

DeMarcus Cousins deserves a nod for his amazing performances. In Week five, he averages 35.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. He also shot 31-38 from the free-throw line. In the game against the Brooklyn Nets, he had 37 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals. An article in HNGN proclaimed him as the top player in the Western Conference during the November 27 games.

The Golden State Warriors are the hottest team in the NBA right now. They are proving to everyone why they are called the NBA superteam as they won 11 straight games. Stephen Curry is one of the biggest reasons for the Warriors' success.

In Week five, he averages 27.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.8 steals. He also shot 17-36 from the three-point line and a perfect 18-18 from the free-throw line.

With Curry, Thompson, Durant and Green altogether in one team, opposing teams will surely find it hard to earn a W against them.

No.2: James Harden of the Houston Rockets

Durant is probably the biggest reason why the Dubs are at the top of the Western Conference. In week 5, he recorded an average of 24.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.8 blocks. He also had a career-high 6 block shots against the Timberwolves.

Because of Durant's remarkable week, he was awarded as the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week in the games played from Nov. 21-27, as per NBA.com.
