The Golden State Warriors made an NBA record as they became the winningt team in NBA regular season history as they finished the season on a remarkable 73-9 win-loss record last season. Because of that, they became the overwhelming favorite to win the NBA title. But LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers proved to them why he is the most dangerous player in the planet during playoffs as they bagged the NBA championship.

Because of their unexpected loss to the NBA Finals last season, the Warriors made a drastic change in their roster by acquiring the biggest free agent last offseason in Kevin Durant. But for them to sign Durant, they let go of starters Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes. They also part ways with reliable bench players like Marreese Speights, Festus Ezeli and Leandro Barbosa.

But due to the Warriors' newest acquisition, they became the NBA superteam and were the most favorite team to win the NBA title. And truly enough, they were indeed NBA superteam as they led the NBA in points and assists per game with 118.4 points and 31.5 assists. At 15-2 win-loss record, they were the best team in the NBA winning 11 consecutive games.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant blended well on the court. Stephen Curry is averaging 26.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 33.3 minutes. Durant on the other hand, is tallying 27.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 blocks in 34.4 minutes. Durant is seventh in scoring while Curry is in eight spot, as per ESPN.

Shaun Livingston is the backup point guard for Stephen Curry. He is one of the main bench players for the Warriors as he average 4.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists. However, the Warriors could get a more reliable backup point guard for Curry.

And according to Bleacher Report, the Phoenix Suns might trade Brandon Knight. Despite that Knight is in his sixth NBA season, the fact remains that he is still just 24. He is a starting point guard caliber player who could score and get his teammates involved.

He is playing a much lesser role with the Phoenix Suns now because of the team's abundance in the guard position. As further discussed, he could play for a team where he could be more of an impact player.

If Knight will play for the Warriors, he might even play lesser minutes. But he will play for a championship caliber team which will be good for him as a player. He could also be an added boost to the Warriors' bench production as he is a very good scorer.

Will Brandon Knight be the new backup point guard for two-time MVP Stephen Curry? Keep tuning in for the latest NBA trade rumors and updates.
