Now that Fantastic beasts and Where To Find Them is out in the open, there will be no big releases to get in the way of the hype for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Like Fantastic Beasts, which is set 70 years, way before the Harry Potter films and is kicking off a projected series of five, Rogue One's in for a lot of pressure on its hands. It's following right up the massive success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens but is also a mark of starting the series' standalone enterprise. This tells whole new stories from across the Star Wars timeline.

Promotions for the Film

Despite being a gamble, the marketing for the film has been solid strong. Lucasfilm couldn't promote it for a long time due to a brand clash in the use of the word Rogue with Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation. But it came out swinging with some excellent trailers and amazingly gorgeous posters.

With less than four weeks to go, the hype for the movie is really going all out. The level of chatter and speculations may not quite match the excitement on The Force Awakens but for a diverging prequel, it's doing pretty well.

New Footages

Fans are firmly in the TV spot stage of the Marketing now, with short clips offering some new footage and bringing the film to the masses. They're now coming out once a day and just hot on the tail of yesterday's chilling look, a new one titled Protect has just hit.

What the Movie is About

It's easy to forget in all the Death Star hype that what Rogue One is ultimately establishing itself to be is an ensemble heist movie, with the crew of the titular ship being the main focus. This one isn't light on action. But it does truly bring back the things around to those characters, acquainting us specifically with Baze and Chirrut.
