What's the difference between Microsoft Surface Book i7 and the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5?

Microsoft's Surface series of hardware that are mainly used as portable workstations for creative professionals who don't rely on dedicated graphics have now long been the most popular purchase for those relying upon Windows for their daily needs.

With the latest potential announcement of the Kaby Lake processors that will reportedly be released coming January, it's now speculated that there will be a potential new Surface Book with the upcoming i7 processors based on the new architecture.Reportedly named the Surface Pro 5, it's the next installment of their Surface Pro devices that are portable with beautiful displays.

The Surface Pro 5 devices are expected to hit the markets not later than March 2017. The upcoming hybrid device will reportedly arrived in the same form factor that the existing Surface Pro devices are sold. It will have a 13.3-inch display with the same industrial design and simplistic in approach. This is the best solution for professionals who carry around their work be it either presentations or  meetings.

With its lightweight design, the display supports 2K resolutions in its current configurations. The display resolution will most likely be hiked to 4K in the next generation of Surface Pro devices that users are looking at.

Coming to battery life and performance, Surface Pro devices are well known for their amazing battery usage providing more than considerable amount of device up time. However, according toCounsel Heal, the new generations i7-based Surface Pro 5 will see a promising 16-hour video playback. That will make the device having the longest ever battery life on any Surface device.

Alongside the processor capabilities, the surface pen too will reportedly see some new improvements alongside new additions in terms of features and usage. 

The pricing of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 seems to be the same with a probable $50 to $100 hike due to the new processor architecture and display. But for the moment, nothing's clear about pricing and hence, it's very challenging to call shots on the pricing department, at least for now.
