Xiaomi Mi 6 photos are viral on the Internet right now, giving the tech world clues that the smartphone might release in 2017.

According to GSMarena's report, leaks on the Mi6 online show a physical home button. A closer look on the smartphone's front face makes it more apparent that it's a fingerprint scanner.

As Xiaomi's latest device, the Mi 6 will come with a bigger and better display as well as a strong processor: it will feature a 5.2-inch FHD, OLED display with 428 PPI. It will also have the Adreno 540 graphics with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, reports Techicity.

Also, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to have a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for its screen, and it will also be Water Resistant IP68 Certified. It is also rumored to be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 processor, which will be manufactured on the 10nm. It will be the first processor for such a jump, according to claims by ICEUniverse

The latest model from Xiaomi is supposed to arrive in 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage options and also it will support expandable storage through Class 10 microSD cards up to 1TB. The device will also sport 6GB of DDR3 RAM.

The rear camera will have 23 megapixels and an IMX318 CMOS Exmor RS image sensor manufactured by Sony, with in-built Optical Image Stabilisation and dual-LED flash. The Mi6 will feature non-removable 3,490 mAh Li-ion battery to power the device, supporting Qualcomm's QuickCharge 4.0.

The Mi 6 will be Xiaomi's first VR enabled smartphone and according to the leaks, the company is also slated to offer the VR headset for free along with the smartphone. Rumors say that the Mi 6 will cost around $499. 

Leaks have also confirmed that the expected release date of Xiaomi Mi 6 will be in the last week of May 2017. Interestingly, the shopping portal has listed that Mi 6 will be loaded with MIUI 7, with the expected availability date being February 2017.
