24-year-old Disney star and singer, Selena Gomez, announced to world that she is taking a hiatus from spotlight and focus on regaining her health. Gomez has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Lupus, that causes her to have panic attacks and depression as the side effects. According to recent reports, the star has checked into a rehab centre located in Tennessee to get professional treatment and treat her mental health issues.

As per an insider source who spoke to Us Weekly, Selena is currently battling with Lupus and if she didn't use this break wisely, it can have a very bad impact on her mental health. The insider also revealed that this facility is located right outside Nashville and is nice and quite place, but very intense.

In 2014, when Gomez took a break from spotlight, there were all kinds of speculations. However, she later explained that during her inexplicable break, she was diagnosed with Lupus and was undergoing chemotherapy. It was important for her to breakaway from the spotlight to get her treatment or she could have suffered a stroke, the "Wizard of Waverly Place" star explained.

"I wanted so badly to say, 'You guys have no idea. I'm in chemotherapy. You're assholes,'" she recalled. "I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again," Billboard quoted the singer. Following the revelation, Gomez checked into a rehab for a brief period of two weeks.

Meanwhile, as Gomez decided to move away from the limelight and take some time out to focus on her health, her best friend Taylor Swift offered Gomez to stay with her while she is recovering. However, the singer gave up her bestie's offer and decided to stay in a strict rehab centre just outside of Nashville, under guidance of professional experts.
