Justice League actress Amber Heard and Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp have agreed on an out-of-court divorce settlement of $7 million, but the actress reportedly declined the offer to maintain her credibility. Moreover, reports are claiming that Heard has been facing financial problems since the settlement.

It was on May 2016 when Heard filed a divorce from estranged husband Johnny Depp. Following this, the public had expressed different views and reactions towards the former Hollywood A-lister couple. Heard has been called a 'gold-digger' and accused to have faked her bruises to extract money from Depp. The latter on the other hand has been called an abuser, in accordance with Heard's claim.

According to Chatt Sports Net, the 30-year old actress has declined the alimony from estranged husband because her credibility is reportedly more important to her. Family law expert, Steve Mindel, has stated that the settlement made by the former couple is most of the time the best deal they could make, but Heard's credibility is the one thing that she prioritizes at the moment.

Furthermore, the refusal of the $7 million alimony reportedly made Heard broke and homeless, according to a report from The Hollywood Gossip. Depp has apparently restricted his estranged wife from entering his private island, which the latter definitely had access months ago. The 53-year old actor has also reportedly denied access of Heard from entering his condo on West Coast, eventhough the actress' belongings are still there.

The Guardian reported that Heard's supposed alimony was donated to charity. The charities that Heard had chosen to donate the money to are the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Each of the charity have received the equal halves of the money.

Moreover, ACLU had expressed gratitude towards the actress, and mentioned that the money will be used for a stronger campaign against women violence.
