Fans were taken by surprise when Showtime released the premiere episode of Shameless Season 7 on its official site a week earlier than the series' supposed initial broadcast schedule on October 2.

In the first episode of Shameless Season 7, as per the synopsis of Showtime, Frank woke up after a month-long coma only to find that no one in his family missed him. Debbie, on the other hand, believing that she is not a good mother to Franny, she started taking criminal measures that her daughter would grow up wealthy. Lip successfully completed rehab and determined to stay sober while Carl considers taking surgery after learning that he is the only one among his brothers who is uncircumcised.

Christian Today reported that Shameless Season 7 Episode 2 will pick up right after where the first episode left off. Likewise, viewers will witness the Gallagher patriarch, Frank, contemplates disowning his family after an ugly turn of events shown in the previous season.

Earlier this month, William H. Macy who plays Frank talk about Shameless Season 7 with Huffington Post, stating, "At the end of the last season, they tossed me off the bridge because they were pissed off about something. Apparently, I floated all the way up to Lake Michigan when they pulled me up, and I was in coma for a good long time."

On the other hand, as reports suggested, Frank is not entirely prepared to leave his family behind. As per the synopsis released by Showtime, Frank will take Liam under his wing and start a new life barricaded on the top floor of the Gallagher home.
