The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday evening (September 18) in Los Angeles. Julie Bowen, the 46-year-old star of ABC's Modern Family, has come to support her colleagues from the series and wish them all the luck.

She has starred as Claire Dunphy on that family comedy since 2009 and received six Primetime Emmy Award nominations in a row for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (2010-15). Julie Bowen won two Emmys in 2011 and 2012 in the same category.

Julie walked the red carpet wearing an elegant dress made by Lela Rose. She was also wearing a Brian Atwood shoes, Vhernier earrings, and a Lee Savage clutch.

There were a lot of memorable moments from Emmy Awards 2016 on Sunday night. One of them was the moment when Matt LeBlanc and Julie Bowen were present on stage and announced Alan Yang and Aziz Ansari as the winner for Best Comedy Series Writing (Netflix series "Master of None"). That was one of many surprise wins.

The other interesting moment was when Courtney B. Vance accepted his award for Outstanding Actor in a Limited series and gave a massive halloo to his wife Angela Bassett. The crowd was applauding for the award winning actress, and star of "Modern Family" Julie Bowen was one of the most impressed people from the audience.

The latest (eighth) season of Modern Family starts in September. Numerous fans of the sitcom can't wait to continue watching their favorite family comedy series on ABC. The decision of Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, creators of this series about 3 different American families, on renewal was truly predictable, considering that the seventh season of the Modern Family has received universal acclaim (as well as previous seasons), and has retained steady television ratings.
