"Criminal Minds", an American-based crime drama, stretched its array of entertainment to an endless dose of amusement and thrill as it sets it return by the end of this month. Adding to its excitement and suspense are new but experienced faces who will be considered as a series regular.

This after the series producers kicked Thomas Gibson from the show in lieu of his disagreements with scriptwriter Virgil Williams.

Emily Prentiss will recur as a former Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) member as well as an Interpol agent.

All set to hit the screens on Sept. 28, the series is yet to undergo substantial changes off-screen that will alter the structure of BAU.

The withdrawal of Thomas Gibson, the head of the BAU as Aaron Hotchner, has caused a stir within the spectators, prompting the producers to bring back fan-favorite Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) in the upcoming season.

Adam Rodriguez is also said to join in as Agent Luke Alvez, the team leader of the FBI's Fugitive Task Force. Meanwhile Aisha Tyler will recur as Dr. Tara Lewis.

While fans are yet to adapt themselves to the fluctuating scenarios, the exhilaration for new characters is on the peak.

Adam Rodriguez has also appeared on numerous hit TV series including the CSI: Miami, where he portrayed himself as Eric Delko. Other than that, he has also marked his appearance on the big screen as he has been a part of "Magic Mike" and "I Can Do Bad All By Myself."

Interesting storylines are yet to be exposed and how Hotchner will prepare for his exit from the show, is definitely something not to be skipped. Stay tuned to catch the premiere episode of Criminal Minds, Season 12 at 9 pm ET on CBS.
