GoPro Hero 5 may have started off as rumors but due to the recent leaks doing their rounds in the internet, the much awaited GoPro camera may already be a reality.

This is good news for those who cannot wait to get their hands on the latest installment in the GoPro line of cameras.

Early August, there was a short video posted in Vimeo and Reddit showing a very short how-to guide of what appears to be the long awaited successor of GoPro Hero 4.

Though the video only lasted for nine seconds, GoPro enthusiasts already deduced many clues regarding the specifications of GoPro Hero 5.

Most of these speculations are quickly proven true because of the surfacing of leaked images of the GoPro Hero 5. Just recently, pictures and specifications of the GoPro Hero 5 was published by a Japanese blog named Nokishita. Despite that all of these have already been taken down, many were able to make a copy.

The latest GoPro model looks like it will be a bit larger than its predecessor with dimensions of 62mm x 44.6mm x 32.7mm as compared to 59mm x 41mm x 30mm. It is also believed that the GoPro Hero 5 will not be needing any waterproof case for up to 10 feet of being submerged in water. Yes, it will be waterproof straight out of the box.

The pictures also confirms that the GoPro Hero 5 will feature a touchscreen. This is since the front power and menu button is apparently missing where all settings can be navigated.

The GoPro Hero5 will also have Voice Controls with a total of 10 voice commands which includes capturing images and taking videos.

The most remarkable marking on the 'prototype' GoPro camera are the 'PVT 3' markings which can be a hint that it is already in the late stages of validations specifically Product Validation Test 3. This can also mean that if things will go smoothly, it can already be mass produced soon.

With this, it looks like camera lovers and techie fans can all expect a GoPro Hero 5 to launch very soon.
