According to recent reports, rumor has it that "The Winds of Winter" will finally be unveiled by the end of this year. The reports also claimed that Martin may have already finished the book and is just choosing the right time to launch his novel, meanwhile teasing his fans with little bits and pieces.

In his Balticon appearance, the author tempted his fans by releasing a new chapter but didn't say anything about the book's release date. "You're disappointed, and you're not alone," Martin said in statement. "My editors and publishers are disappointed, HBO is disappointed, my agents and foreign publishers and translators are disappointed ... but no one could possibly be more disappointed than me."

Since very little is known about the most anticipated book's release date, rumors about its plot has been spreading online like a wildfire. According to one such speculation, the upcoming book will involve the death of Daenerys and her dragons. Martin is already known for not shying away from eliminating his main characters, the idea that Daenerys will die doesn't seem farfetched.

There are also reports claiming that George RR Martin will also adder another subplot in "The Winds of Winter" where even though Daenerys will become the queen of seven kingdoms as she wanted, her reign wouldn't last too long. The site also added that Daenerys is only meant to be a conqueror and not a ruler and her dragons will not be enough, as far as saving her dynasty is concerned.
