On the season 2 finale of NBA 2KTV, NBA 2K manager Ronnie Singh revealed a number of features that are expected to appear on the upcoming NBA 2K17 including some fan-requested tweaks. Singh hinted face scans, time locker codes, and more signature animations.

Singh mentioned that the sequel to NBA 2K16 will reportedly have a much better and even more accurate face scan app. Incorporating community feedbacks, 2K Sports seemed to have resolved the issues that many fans often complained about in NBA 2K15. Moreover, gamers can make use of their smartphones for better face scan results. Timed locker codes will also marking their return to the NBA video game series in 2K17.

"Locker codes are coming back and they are timed locker codes. They're user-based. They're actually timed-locker codes. That's what the community wants and that's what's coming to 'NBA 2K17," said Singh as per Design & Trend.

The next game is also set to feature the franchise's biggest amount of signature animations for most NBA superstars. Players can control the said animations using the right stick. Singh also teased fans of Yeezy shoes' appearance in the next game.

Meanwhile, Rookie of the Year awardee and Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns joins NBA's hottest rising stars that appear on the game cover of the NBA 2K17, 247 Sports reported. The young roster of talents on the cover includes Paul George of Indiana Pacers, Kyrie Irving of Cleveland Cavaliers, Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City Thunder, Draymond Green of Golden State Warriors, Andre Drummond of Detroit Pistons, and Jimmy Butler of Chicago Bulls.

The NBA Rookie of the Year had a breakout 2015-16 season with Minnesota Timberwolves after averaging 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game and posting 51 double-doubles as part of the starting lineup in 82 season games. Increasingly a hot commodity in the NBA, the up-and-coming NBA star is the fifth rookie to receive the award in NBA history.
