Zenfone 3 is Asus' response to Samsung and Apple that dominated much of the high-end smartphone market. The Taiwanese tech giant's flagship handset device will reportedly sport an ultrafast 0.03-second laser-auto focus that will give other smartphone makers a run for their money.

As reported by Android Pit, the Zenfone 3 metal-clad series will offer three variants to choose from: a 5.5-inch standard size, 5.7-inch luxury edition, and a 6.8-inch model. As the report goes, the device is "a tablet pretending to be a smartphone."

Here is a rundown of ASUS ZenFone 3 lineup's specs and other features (via N4BB):

1. Asus ZenFone 3 ($249) - This budget smartphone will have a 5.5 inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 625 processor along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of base storage offering (with a 64GB option), 4GB of RAM, 5 magnet speaker & an NXP amp, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor, 16MP rear camera, 8PM selfie camera, phase detection auto-focus, a super resolution mode of 64MP, and a 3000 mAh battery.

2. Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe ($499 for 64GB version)- A top variant featuring all-metal design frame plus curved edges with no visible ugly antenna lines. The phablet comes with 5.7 inch Full HD AMOLED display with 100% NTSC color space, always-on mode, Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB of uber-fast UFS 2.0 internal storage options, USB Type C port, quick charging, 23MP Sony front camera, 8MP selfie camera, laser auto-focus, phase detection auto-focus, 4-axis OIS, 3000 mAh battery, and biometric sensor. The phone is available in three color editions: Black, Gold, and Blue.

3. Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra ($479) - The entertainment-oriented phablet comes with a large 6.8 inch screen w/ 1080p resolution, PixelWorks Iris 2 processor for 4K playback, dual stereo speakers, DTS Headphone: X 7.1 surround sound, Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB of RAM, features the same Zenfone 3 Deluxe cameras, 4600 mAh battery, Quick Charge 3.0, and a biometric sensor.

The Zenfone 3 lineup was introduced by Asus in its Zenvolution event that took place recently. Asus' budget smartphone series is expected to be released in the market in the third quarter although a BitBag report suggests an August roll-out this year.
