Justin Bieber announced on Power 106 radio station in Los Angeles that he was quitting music. When the host asked the 19-year-old singer about his new album Bieber dodged the question and instead revealed that he wants to retire.

"Um, I'm actually retiring, man," he said. "I think I'm probably gonna quit music."

In a video uploaded by Power 106, Bieber keeps a straight face as he makes the shocking announcement but the video ends shortly after before fans could find out if he was serious or joking. According to E! News Bieber's rep didn't want to comment on the remark but a source said that the "Boyfriend" was definitely joking and will continue to make music.

Bieber has not mentioned a possible retirement on Twitter but has been promoting his new music video for "Confident." Maybe he was just kidding around but "Beliebers" went into a mini meltdown after hearing the news.

This isn't the first time Bieber made comments about an early retirement. Last year he did an interview and said that he was seriously thinking about leaving the music scene because of all the negativity and criticism.

"I got to the point where I thought, 'I don't want to do this. I just want to be normal,'" he said. "It was difficult because I'd never gone through anything like that. Usher was like, 'Prepare to have this for the rest of your career because it's not going to stop.' He's gone through some stuff and most artists go through their fair share of bull. That was just my first time."
