Singer Demi Lovato has gotten yet another tattoo, and on "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson," the "X-Factor" judge showed it off and revealed the special meaning behind her latest ink.

Her newest tattoo is the Roman Numeral for the number three, to honor the favorite number of her biological father, Patrick Lovato, who passed away this summer from cancer. The star got the numerals inked on her right wrist, just below her hand which ironically sports a cross on the side and "Rock N Roll" on her middle finger, as she jokingly pointed out to Ferguson.

Lovato had a strained relationship with her birth father, who suffered from mental illness and struggled with alcohol, and split from her mother when she was just two-years-old, which she details in songs like "For the Love Of a Daughter" and "Shouldn't Come Back." She had been estranged from him since 2007, a year before her career on Disney and as a musician took off.

Back in June, the 21-year-old star tweeted that attending his funeral was "the hardest thing" she's ever done, though she added on Twitter, "There's an overwhelming sense of peace knowing my dad is no longer battling his demons anymore and that makes me so happy..."

To honor his memory, difficult though it may be, Lovato set up the Lovato Treatment Scholarship, a program meant to help financially assist people struggling with mental illness.

Demi Lovato's new tattoo racks up her total to around 13, depending on how you count them.
