The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently in first place in the Eastern Conference, and despite the fact that they have been underwhelming at points this year, they are still the heavy favorites to represent the East in the NBA Finals. LeBron James' goal since coming back to Cleveland has been to win a championship for his home state, which hasn't seen a championship in any professional sport since 1964.

LeBron, though, has been frustrated with his team at times this year, and there aren't many people who see them winning the championship this season. King James has been in the news recently for unfollowing the Cavaliers official Twitter, and that has gotten people thinking about whether he would leave again. It appears as though there is a scenario in which he would leave.

That scenario is an opportunity to play with Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony, all on the same team. While that doesn't seem like a realistic scenario on the surface, it needs to be taken into account just how close those four are and how hungry they are, Melo and CP3 in particular, for a championship.

"I really hope that, before our career is over, we can all play together," James said. "At least one, maybe one or two seasons, me, Melo, D-Wade, CP, we can get a year in. I would actually take a pay cut to do that. It would be pretty cool; I've definitely had thoughts about it. We'll see."

LeBron has done this in the past when he left Cleveland the first time to join Wade in Miami. While with the Heat, LeBron and Wade won two championships, and they likely realize that getting together on the same team gives them their best chance at another championship. Anthony and Paul, in particular, have never won a championship, or even been to an NBA finals for that matter. They have made it clear how bad they want to win, so if this becomes a realistic possibility for all four of them, it should not be discounted.

Having said all of that, these four players would have to find a team that would take on all four of them and pay those salaries. LeBron did say that he would be willing to take a pay cut, which he has done before, but it's not like that he is going to be making the league minimum. They would also have to leave room to sign other players because while they are all talented, every team needs glue guys and non-stars to do the dirty work.

This scenario may not be as farfetched as one would think on the surface, but it also isn't very likely, either. If this were to happen, it probably would be much further down the line, and at that point, all of these guys would be close to the ends of their careers. It is fun to think about what a team with LeBron, Wade, Melo and CP3 would be able to do, but don't get your hopes up.
