It's quite a few years after the fact, but some unresolved Disney drama has recently re-surfaced after former Jonas Brothers star Joe Jonas gave a rather revealing interview for Vulture magazine, in which he opened up about his past relationship with Demi Lovato.

"One relationship that meant a lot to fans was the one I had with Demi Lovato, who I've known for years," Jonas said. "We had been friends forever, we were both Disney kids, and because we played a couple in the Camp Rock Disney Channel specials-and fans liked seeing us together-we eventually dated for a month. I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse. I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn't happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help. I couldn't express any of that, of course, because I had a brand to protect."

Jonas broke up with Lovato while the two were on tour in South America, both stars forced to sing love songs to one another on-stage while Jonas moved on to another girl, which later became the inspiration behind Lovato's song "Without the Love." His admission of wanting to protect his brand over Lovato may have been honest, but it certainly rubbed quite a few of Lovato's fans, friends and family the wrong way.

"Pathetic how people cut others down to get attention off themselves.. Loser," Demi's older sister, Dallas, tweeted earlier today.

Meanwhile, her guitarist Mike Manning, who has been playing shows with her for years, weighed in on Joe Jonas' admissions.

"Hey Joe, cool story bro," he tweeted, later adding, "It's one thing to kick someone when they're down, it's a whole other thing to kick someone when YOU'RE down," perhaps in reference to the latest Jonas Brothers break-up.

Lovato, however, took the high road with a positive tweet, even though two she notably slams Jonas in two the songs on her album "Demi," including "Without the Love" and "Really Don't Care." She has since deleted the message from her Twitter.
