All four members of the British indie rock band Viola Beach were killed in a car accident on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. The crash, which also claimed another victim that was not in the band, happened near Stockholm, Sweden after a car the men were renting hit a barrier by a bridge and plunged more than 80 feet into a canal.

The four band members were Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin, and the fifth man was the band's manager, Craig Tarry, according to CNN. The band had just played a music festival in Sweden called "Where's the Music?" the day before their death.

The band formed in May 2015 and released its debut single "Swings & Waterslides" later that year. It performed at several major music festivals in 2015, including Reading and Leeds, and just released its second single "Boys That Sing" on Jan. 22, according to The BBC.

"The family are devastated by these events and are grieving the loss of their son and also for the other families involved in this tragic accident," read a statement by Tarry's family. "Craig was a warm, loving person who had worked tirelessly to achieve success and follow his dreams within the music industry. He will be sadly missed by his family and his colleagues."

Police stated that they did not know the cause of the accident and that it was still under investigation.
