Bill Murray was accused of throwing three fans' phones off a rooftop bar in California last night, reported TMZ. The revered actor reportedly grew annoyed after the fans refused to stop taking flash photos of him. A brief investigation by local police occured after the incident.

The "Ghostbusters" star attended pop star Justin Timberlake's party for his 901 tequila at the Vesuvio restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif., according to Gossip Cop. Murray is staying in the small seaside town for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, an annual golf tournament that attracts both golf pros and celebrities.

Vesuvio owner Scott Pepe said Murray was not drinking at the party, but was annoyed after three fans repeatedly took flash photos of him from only 10 feet away, according to TMZ. Murray tossed the fans' phones off the second story of the restaurant's building, and Carmel police were called.

After a brief investigation by the Carmel-by-the-Sea Police Department, it was determined that Murray will not face charges in relation to the incident, Commander Paul Tomasi told the Chicago Tribune. Two of the phones sustained damage after being thrown, but the fans decided not to press charges after Murray offered to replace the phones.

Fans flocked to Timberlake's party at Vesuvio, local news station KSBW reported, which was the restaurant's third time hosting the event.

"The celebrities like to hang out here," Pepe told KSBW. "It's great food and beverage. When they do come, they bring their entourage so it gets a little busy. Bill Murray comes, Ray Romano and Andy Garcia."
