The spark is officially dead between Jordin Sparks and Sage the Gemini. The 26-year-old "American Idol" champion and the 23-year-old rapper have reportedly called it quits after 10 months of dating, a source confirmed to Us Weekly. The two have already removed all pictures of each other from their social media accounts.

The reason behind their split is unknown, but an insider told E! News the relationship "started off great" but that Sparks later started to have trust issues and "Sage wasn't helping the matter any with his behavior."

In December, Sage - whose real name is Dominic Wynn Woods - posted an emotional message hinting that the relationship wasn't going well by calling himself weak and pointing out that his own "jealous" issues were affecting his relationship.

""FIRST IM GOING TO START BY SAYIN THIS ISNT A POST FOR FEMALE ATTENTION. Mentally and physically I am weak," Sage the Gemini wrote on the image-sharing site, alongside a shirtless mirror selfie of himself. "I am seeing and feeling myself get weaker says the old me. My imagination is a horrible place that I battle with in my relationship (being jealous) etc I say to myself maybe I should work out till I push evil thoughts out of me and ask God to shine light in the dark I'm fuckin myself up.

"I need to be a better man all the way around. So with that being said I will do so. Right now I'm actin like a bitch I'm making bitch moves so I need to change that if I can get motivational words from you guys that would be amazing. Thanks."

Sparks began dating the Gas Pedal star after splitting from longtime boyfriend Jason Derulo in September 2014. She confirmed her relationship with Sage in May 2015 and hinted in July that their relationship was getting serious.

"It's very early, but I'm not the type of person who stays in a relationship if I can't see it going further than a casual relationship," Sparks told Entertainment Tonight. "I could see marriage, but we haven't really planned anything. He does call me his wife, though."

"[Sage's] a great guy. He makes me smile every single day. He's just very low-key and down to Earth as well," the "No Air" singer told People Magazine last August. "We don't have to always worry about getting up and getting ready or feeling like we have to."
