Decoding the video for Lana Del Rey's "Freak," the first single off her 2015 EP "Honeymoon," might be a bit hard. It was inspired by Father John Misty's J. Tillman's acid trip... at a Taylor Swift concert.
"I had so much fun making this video inspired by his acid trip that he took in Topanga," Del Rey explained after the video premiere on Tuesday. Well that's his story." To which Tillman replied: "I took acid at a Taylor Swift concert. I thought this was the best time to tell you."

The video for "Freak" seems to get back to Del Rey's sun-soaked, sultry roots and ennui-laced crooning with this gauzy, drugged video. The clip is 11 minutes long and Del Rey is cut with Debussy as acid trip meets baptism meets the ladies of "Music to Watch Boys To."
"If the pop star's guitar-laced 2014 LP, 'Ultraviolence,' was a one-night stand with a new sound, her follow-up is the morning after - the moment when Del Rey gets back to what she's best at," according to Rolling Stone.
