Eddie Murphy and longtime friend Arsenio Hall discussed the possibility of a "Coming to America" sequel on the "Arsenio Hall Show." Even though the 1988 movie didn't win any awards it was a hit for both Murphy and Hall.

When the talk show host questioned Murphy about why there was never a sequel he explained that making a sequel to the movie wasn't that simple, the Huffington Post reports.

"When 'Coming to America' came out it was bunch of lawsuits," Murphy recalled. "There was some dudes who was claiming he was the prince. I be out in the club and this African dude would roll up on me and say, 'I am the real prince! You stole my life from me! And I want my money! I'll kill you!"

As the audience laughed he explained that it happened on a regular basis. Hall said there was even one prince who said he came to America to find the girl who starred in Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video (Fun Fact: her name is Ola Ray).

"He said 'That's where you got the idea... from my life. I come for the girl from 'Thriller' and you took that and switched it around and now you are me. And I want the money,'" Murphy joked.

The two also talked about their "bitter feud." According to Hall there were tabloid stories that said he and Murphy didn't like each other anymore. According to E! News, the reports were published in March and said the pair's friendship was over because Murphy refused to go on "The Arsenio Hall" show.

"We stopped our bitter feud, just for tonight," Hall said to which Murphy asked "What bitter feud?"

"Oh, see, you don't read all that stuff," Hall said.

"Where having a feud?" Murphy asked again confused.

After the host explained it was a tabloid story, Murphy said he doesn't read the tabloids.
