"Making A Murderer" subject Steven Avery has maintained his innocence in the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach even though he was sentenced to life in prison for the crime almost 10 years ago. For the first time since the Netflix documentary grabbed the attention of true-crime fans, Avery's twin sons Bill and Steven Jr., gave an interview with Crime Watch Daily and spoke out about the case that fascinated millions.

When asked if they believed their father murdered Halbach, Bill replied, "No, I don't think he did," but his twin was not so sure.

"I have no idea," he told interviewer Melissa Moore. "I mean, only one person can answer that, and that is Teresa. But she can't answer it no more."

"The only thing I know is that the entire case was very shady," Steven Jr. added. "It's clear that there was corruption."

The "Making a Murderer" docuseries was filmed over 10 years and follows the story of Avery and presents a theory that he was set up by local authorities. His sons also opened up about seeing their family tragedy play out in front of the entire world.

"It sucks having everything out in the open like that," Steven Jr. said. "At the same point, it's good because a lot of people see a little bit of a bigger picture."

The full interview with Avery's sons will be broadcast on Crime Watch Daily on Feb. 8.
