Who would have thought that "size matters" as well for plane flights? Well, yes it does as Kevin Chenais, 22, was denied by British Airways  from flying because he is "too large" no plane can accommodate his girth.

"I'm sure a lot of big people like or bigger cannot travel because they have the same problem," said Kevin to CBS Chicago.

The 500-pound passenger went to the United States and stayed for one and a half-year for his hormonal disorder treatment in Minn. Now he would like to return to his hometown in Queen Mary II, France in which the airline rejected his return flight. His mother, Cristina, was so infuriated of the airline's decision and the discrimination done on his son.

British Airways reasoned that it is unsafe for the passenger to fly and explained in an e-mail to the Daily News that they have "worked tirelessly to try and find a solution for the family and exhausted all options." However, Kevin is just too large for a standard airplane to accommodate.

Chenais family is so upset of the incident because they are now stranded in Chicago. They couldn't leave their family member behind. They said that they have told the airline representative before they bought the tickets of Kevin's condition and were assured that they could accommodate him. But that wasn't the case the day of the flight.

"If they could bring him here with that problem in economy, there was a way to take him back by economy — but just get him back home for his medical treatments to continue," Cristina told CBS Chicago.

Since the family couldn't get help from the airline which insisted they have exhausted all efforts, the family plans to take a train to New York then transfer to another train bound for England. However, they are already short of cash and the situation becomes more difficult because Kevin needs full medical attention.
