Following the birth of her baby girl Kaya Evdokia, Hayden Panettiere began suffering postpartum depression and it eventually got to the point where she had to enter a facility to receive treatment for the condition, as HNGN previously reported. This led to her having to take a temporary medical leave from her hit show "Nashville," but it looks like her character Juliette Barnes will be returning to the ABC country musical drama just in time for the return of its midseason break.

Panettiere officially returned to set to work on the series on Friday, according to TV Line. The 26-year-old actress began working on what will be the 14th episode of season 4. "Nashville" returns from its midseason break on March 16, and Panettiere's first episode back will air in April.

While on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" in September, Panettiere opened up about her medical struggles and how she wanted to bring awareness to the condition to let other women who suffer know they're not alone.

"It's something a lot of women experience," she told hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. "When [you are told] about postpartum depression you think it's 'I feel negative feeling towards my child; I want to injure or hurt my child.' I've never, ever had those feelings. Some women do. But you don't realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It's something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they're not along, and that it does heal."
