The Black Caps, who are leading the series by 2-1, are now aiming to seal the series in final ODI. A resurgent Sri Lankan squad, who bounced back in the third ODI after losing the first two games, is looking to level the series. Danushka Gunathilaka and Tillekaratne Dilshan's brilliant batting performance guided Sri Lanka to a comeback victory in the third ODI against the hosts, according to New Zealand Herald.

The fourth ODI, played at Saxton Oval in Nelson on Saturday, was abandoned due to rain, according to The Indian Express. The ODI was first reduced to 24 overs due to overnight rains. The New Zealand were at 75 for three in the ninth over when the rain returned, forcing umpires to abandon the match.
