Some leaked pricing and specifications of Motorola's rumored mid-range smartphones 'Moto G' have hit the tabloids.

As the smartphone business gets bigger, manufacturers are trying to cover all possible domains with growing interest, right from entry-level and mid-range to high-end smartphones. Nokia and Google were in the spotlight for their highly speculated Lumia and Nexus smartphones, respectively, before they were officially announced. Now, Motorola is also following suit.

Some pricing and specifications of the yet-to-be launched 'Moto G' have just surfaced on the internet.

Nuggets from tipsters usually hit bulls-eye. However, there is always room for surprise. While most of the features of Moto G are hard to guess, few leaked details give us an idea of what to expect from the company's latest model.

Popular tipster, @evleaks broke the news on Twitter with a picture and a brief description. According to the leak, Moto G sports a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor with a 4.7-inch 720p display. Storage varies from 8GB to 16GB and features an 8MP camera with a 1950mAh battery.

Additionally, GSMArena also got a copy of what looks like a retail promo card of Phones4U store. This latest document defines the device differently from @evleaks. The picture shows that the Moto G will boast a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 display and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Also the document suggests a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Quad-Core processor, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 8GB storage and water-resistant coating. The tech site states that the Moto G will priced at an attractive $215 (£134.95) off contract.

These leaks are subject to change anytime. Nothing can be confirmed before an official announcement is made. What we can be sure of is that the company has the Moto G smartphone project in its pipeline. To back this up, an earlier report from GSMArena had spotted a link to Moto G device via Moto X's webpage on the company's website. The link only briefly appeared on the site but did not show any images of the device.

So if you are looking to buy a mid-range smartphone, then we suggest you hold your horses for a little while longer as the new Motorola smartphone might just end up surprising you!
