And then they were three. Christmas came early for actor Matt Dallas and husband Blue Hamilton, who announced the addition the newest addition to their family - a two-year-old son named Crow.

In an adorable 11-minute holiday-themed YouTube clip, titled "Welcome to Our Pride," the new parents opened up about trying to expand their family, before introducing their son to the world.

"We've been talking about having kids for a long time. We both come from big families," Hamilton explained in the video. "Family is very important to both of us. Raising a family of our own is very important to us. So it was just a matter of when, timing-wise, and how. Of course there was surrogacy, you can have your own [biological] kid, private adoption... overseas and going through the states."

"At first, it was kind of overwhelming. We'd spend nights as we were going to bed on our iPads reading about different ways you can adopt. After spending some time researching, it seemed natural that we would go through the state," he added.

The "Kyle XY" actor continued: "There were just a lot of kids that really needed homes. There's kids and babies waking up in office buildings, waking up in group homes. People that work for the state just don't have enough time or resources to get to all of them."

However, while trying to make their announcement, the youngster totally ruined the surprise by shouting, "Daddy" several times off-camera.

"We just happen to fall in love with this certain little boy who came to stay with us. The car ride home, we decided that he was gonna be ours and we weren't gonna give him up," Hamilton said before showing off his son. Dallas added, "There was supposed to be a six-month trial period, and there was about a six-minute trial period before we knew he was gonna be ours. We got the best Christmas present ever"

The video continues on with a montage of clips of Crow spending his first Christmas and other special moments with his new parents. The couple adopted their son earlier this year, according to JustJared.com.

The process was completed through Arizona Children's Association and had to undergo a six-month trial period before finalizing their adaptation. The couple decided to adopt out of Arizona because there are reportedly over 18,000 children in the state's foster/adoption system.

Dallas and Hamilton have been dating since 2009 before tying the knot on July 4.
