It was fairly evident from the “Ravenswood” pilot that the “Pretty Little Liars” spinoff would take a supernatural path that its predecessor hadn’t.

One of the things I wished for was the show to not go over the top with its supernatural aspect. For example, I hoped Miranda (Nicole Anderson) wouldn’t be in the middle of the graveyard performing major spells.

According to EOnline, I might not get my wish. The website reports Miranda may be supernaturally adept.

"There is a supernatural element," Anderson told the website.

"I can't say specifically what it is in relation to, but in episode 2, everyone will find out her connection to the supernatural realm," the 23-year old actress added.

Anderson’s hit was vague so it’s possible her character won’t become a full-on witch.

In last week’s episode we were introduced to a few creepy figures, including the mysterious little girl that caused the main characters to drive their car into a lake.

This seems to back up Executive Producer Joseph Dougherty comments earlier this month that “Ravenwood” would do much more scaring than PLL.

"Whatever the uneasiness level of “Pretty Little Liars” is, Ravenswood will be 20 to 30 times higher,” Dougherty said in an interview with TVGuide.com. “I like to lull people in with a false sense of confidence and tell everyone that Ravenswood is a delightful romp and then have everyone watch and be terrified."
